The Truth About You (Part One)

THE LIES:
I read on CNN how an innocent man, Richard Phillips was sentenced to 46 years in prison, Philip was sentenced in 1972 for a crime he did not commit, separated from his family for many years, I cannot imagine the number or the kind of thoughts that went through his mind daily. Have you ever been misjudged?

The word Truth could be difficult to understand if there were no facts to establish it. Imagine a woman with a two-year-old child who has divorced her husband but told the child that the father is dead and the child believed this until he was 21 years when he later met the father.

Peter toiled throughout the night because the sea "lied" to him, the sea made him think he's not a good fisherman, that there are no fishes in it.

Your environment, parent, teachers, doctors friends and situations around you may have told you many lies. They might have used a single error you made to give full conclusions about your life - saying, you cannot be successful in life, you cannot have your own children, you have a terminal disease, that because you came out poor in your academics you can never be successful, that no one can make it in your family.

According to Wikipedia, the name Jabez means "he makes sorrowful". The mother had given him that name because the situation surrounding his birth "lied" to her that the child caused it. "...and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bore him with sorrow." (KJV+ 1 Chronicles 4:9).


"...He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies." (John 8:44).

Such lies can only come from the devil to stop you from discovering the real you, the power inside you, the raw unrevealed glory in you, the king or queen in you, the authority you carry...

Prayer: Lord, Jesus, give me the spirit to know the lies the devil have told me so I can realize my full potential in you.
